Aastha (1997)
A movie that won for Rekha both a Star Screen Best Actress Award as well as criticism from the audience for playing a married woman-turned-prostitute, ‘Aastha: In the Prison of Spring’ and its success gapped the bridge between Indian arthouse and commercial cinema.
